Responsibilities

Search and examine basic and complex real estate chains of title

Prepare title commitments in accordance with company standards

Identify legal descriptions based on both platted and metes and bounds descriptions with an ability to accurately draw metes and bounds descriptions

Examine ALTA surveys, identify items affecting the title commitment, and apply the information to issuance ALTA endorsements as applicable

Independently manage your own files from beginning to end

Underwrite files within your approved authority limit, review title objection letters, and produce a pro forma package acceptable to all parties

Collaborate with other commercial department personnel and state underwriting counsel regarding complex issues

Participate in business development to maintain existing clientele and acquire new clients
