Project Manager Civil
Interlix Staffing is a staffing firm seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead land development projects. The role involves managing projects from planning through permitting and delivery, while overseeing project execution and coordinating with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage land development projects from concept through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality alignment
Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 engineers while overseeing day-to-day project execution
Prepare and review site plans, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater, and permitting documents
Perform complex civil design tasks, flood studies, and engineering calculations as needed
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and land use processes (NJ-focused)
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies to support approvals and issue resolution
Prepare proposals, technical reports, and project correspondence
Manage deliverables across a portfolio of active projects (approximately 20 concurrent projects)
Maintain technical accuracy through strong QA/QC review and documentation standards
Qualification
Required
6–12 years of experience in civil/land development engineering, with strong New Jersey project experience
Proven experience managing and guiding an engineering team
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and land development design (grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater)
Proficiency with stormwater/hydraulic/hydrologic tools: HydraFlow, HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC-HMS and/or HEC-RAS
Strong knowledge of permitting workflows and regulatory coordination
Fluent in English (C1/C2 level), written and spoken
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience supporting high-volume project environments with multiple concurrent deadlines
