Human Resources Analyst 9-12 - Labor Relations Section
NEOGOV is looking for a Human Resources Analyst in the Labor Relations Section for the State of Michigan. The role involves acting as a Labor Relations Liaison, handling employee investigations, grievance administration, and advising management on employee performance and misconduct issues.

Responsibilities
Representing the Department in all matters pertaining to employee-employer relations
Conducting employee investigations
Advising all levels of management on addressing employee performance and misconduct issues
Responsible for grievance administration
Responding to grievances
Representing the Department and state’s interests in arbitration and Civil Service hearings
Serving as the Department’s recognized resource for the Statewide administration of the UAW contract
Conducting employee investigations for an assigned caseload
Advising all levels of management on addressing employee performance and misconduct issues for an assigned caseload
Responsible for assigned program areas within the Department
Recognized as the expert for employee-employer relations issues for those program areas
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Human Resources Analyst 9: No specific type or amount of experience is required
Human Resources Analyst 10: One year of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst 9
Human Resources Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst 10
Human Resources Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience providing human resources services equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst P11
At least one year of experience in collective bargaining or labor contract administration, grievance or arbitration handling activities, or applying labor law
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license, in accordance with agency's driving record standards
Submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to appointment
Criminal and driving records will be checked
