In this role, you will be responsible for tax preparation, compliance, and client advisory support, ensuring accuracy and identifying tax-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities
Tax Preparation & Filing: Execute tax preparation and filing for various entities, including Individual (1040), Partnership (1065), and Corporate (1120S) returns, including complex Amended Returns
Tax Compliance & Research: Handle direct IRS and State Tax Agency correspondence, including managing payroll-related tasks
Assist with the preparation and filing of various Sales Tax and Property Tax forms
Conduct targeted Tax Research and analysis to determine optimal tax treatment and solutions for unique client situations
Client Advisory Support: Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend proactive strategies, communicating findings with Senior Accountants
Peer Review: Conduct Peer Review for miscellaneous tasks and low-to-moderate complexity returns (Complexity Level 1 & 2) to ensure accuracy and maintain our Quality Control standards
Cross-Training: Engage in cross-functional support and organizing client Source Documents
Contribute ideas that improve our Tax Systems and overall client experience
Qualification
Required
Accounting degree or 2-3 years of experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Adaptable to change and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment
Ability to answer client questions using laymen's language
A team player who appreciates a lighthearted culture (dad jokes welcome)
Preferred
Experience with CCH Axcess or similar accounting software (preferred)
