VP of Sales – Professional Fitness Equipment
Blue Signal Search is an executive search firm specializing in sales and business development recruiting. They are seeking a VP of Sales for a client in the commercial and specialty fitness equipment sector to expand market share and enhance brand presence across North America.
Responsibilities
Craft and execute an omnichannel sales strategy that accelerates revenue across commercial, specialty retail, and e-commerce channels
Build annual sales budgets and rolling forecasts that tie directly to corporate growth objectives
Recruit, coach, and empower a high-performing national sales organization that prizes accountability and continuous improvement
Drive a data-centric pipeline rhythm, tracking leading indicators to improve win rate and margin
Partner with product management to transform customer insights into future hardware and connected-fitness solutions
Champion the brand externally through strategic partnerships and high-impact promotions
Negotiate and close complex, multi-site contracts with health clubs, hospitality groups, and institutional buyers
Leverage CRM and BI platforms to deliver reliable forecasts and executive dashboards
Collaborate with operations and supply chain to ensure on-time delivery and superior customer satisfaction
Represent the company at industry trade shows and thought-leadership events
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field
10 + years of progressive sales leadership in durable goods, capital equipment, or adjacent industries, with a consistent record of exceeding revenue targets
Proven success hiring and mentoring geographically distributed sales teams
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and contract negotiation
Fluency with modern CRM, CPQ, and analytics tools; comfortable turning data into action
Residence in the St. Louis area (or willingness to relocate) and ability to travel up to 50 percent
Preferred
MBA or equivalent advanced credential
