Responsibilities
Work as overall engineering lead on assigned projects reporting up to supervising engineers
Perform structural analysis and calculations
Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings, designs and plans
Review of designs, drawings and calculations
Perform field investigations and site visits to oversee projects
Prepare reports and other technical documentation
Lead or participate in project meetings and conference calls
Manage project documentation and status
Attend training programs and acquire certifications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil and/or structural engineering
EIT/FE certification
Sound comprehension of structural engineering principles
Working knowledge and experience with structural design
Demolition means and methods understanding
Ability to work with structural analysis software preferred, e.g., RISA, ETABS, STAAD PRO, SAP
Project Management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and part of a team
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Experience in the construction industry
Familiarity with NYC Building Code
