Environmental Geologist (PG)

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Professional Geologist (PG) for a top Environmental Consulting leader in Queens, NY. This critical role involves managing and executing high-stakes environmental projects, ranging from initial site assessments to complex remediation, across commercial and industrial properties.

Logistics & Supply Chain

Responsibilities

Lead and execute Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to identify and mitigate environmental liabilities
Conduct and oversee specialized field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling
Support the design and implementation of site remediation activities and strategies
Analyze complex environmental data sets and author comprehensive technical reports in strict accordance with NYSDEC and federal standards
Provide expert-level guidance on environmental conditions, regulatory compliance, and long-term site strategies to clients and stakeholders
Oversee and develop junior staff, providing training on field techniques, safety protocols, and professional reporting
Partner with engineering and project teams to ensure the timely and successful completion of diverse environmental portfolios

Required

Bachelor's degree in Geology or Environmental Science is required
Active Professional Geologist (PG) license is REQUIRED
Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation is required
Proven track record in conducting field investigations and complex data interpretation
Deep working knowledge of federal, state (NYSDEC), and local (NYC OER) environmental regulations
Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and environmental data management software is a significant advantage
Exceptional written and verbal skills, with a specific ability to synthesize technical data into clear executive reports
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout the New York metropolitan area
