Responsibilities
Prepare equipment/project scope documents for proposals, installations, startups, and validations
Ensure power and control engineering detail design aligns with project needs, facilitate equipment purchasing, review electrical/control designs, participate in energy-efficient design, and maintain project schedules
Lead and participate in commissioning activities to ensure successful start-up and provide ongoing support to maintain optimal performance post-launch
Mentor and influence representatives from various functional groups including engineering, maintenance, and operations across multiple site locations
Identify machine, material, and process improvements and implement solutions
Qualification
Required
Seven to ten years of experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
Bachelor's Degree in a Technical/Engineering field; BSEE preferred
Previous project management experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft products and familiarity with AutoCAD
Background with the National Electrical Code [NEC] NFPA 70 and 70E and National Electrical Safety Code
Experience with high and low voltage power distribution systems, motor control centers, and general power distribution
Experience with Variable Speed Drives [VFD], motors, and cabling systems including sizing cables
Experience with ABB coordinated drives line-ups and Siemens MV drives is a plus
Previous industrial and general plant experience, including paper manufacturing or continuous processes, is a plus
Familiarity with DCS and PLC controls is a plus
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and drive understanding throughout all levels of the organization
Technical leadership with the ability to mentor and lead divisional-level technical objectives
Basic business ownership skills enabling critical thinking, recommendations, and project justifications
Expertise in industrial power distribution design, construction, and commissioning
Proven experience supporting/managing large capital projects, including budgetary responsibilities
Exceptional analytical problem-solving, equipment vendor management skills, and strong computer skills

BSEE preferred
Previous project management experience strongly preferred
