Responsibilities

Develop and enhance WPF desktop applications using standard MVVM patterns
Build UI components, workflows, and validations based on detailed specifications
Collaborate with internal developers to meet delivery timelines
Integrate with local databases and ensure reliable data storage
Debug, troubleshoot, and fix issues in a legacy-to-modernized codebase
Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following team standards
Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing as needed

Required

3+ years of professional experience developing WPF desktop applications
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with MVVM architecture

Experience working with local databases (e.g., SQLite, SQL Server Express, or similar)
Familiarity with desktop application lifecycle, packaging, and deployment
Ability to work independently on well-scoped tasks with minimal supervision

Preferred

Experience modernizing or rewriting legacy desktop applications
Exposure to hardware- or device-adjacent software (scanners, medical devices, manufacturing tools, etc.)
Familiarity with asynchronous programming and performance optimization in desktop apps
Prior experience in regulated or quality-conscious environments (medical, manufacturing, industrial)
