Responsibilities

Developing and improving manufacturing processes
Spending time in the operations area observing and monitoring rocket motor assembly processes
Performing cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects using root cause analysis tools
Working with concurrent engineering teams to ensure proper documentation and on-time production
Authoring, updating, and reviewing shop floor work instructions
Preparing and presenting technical presentations to technical teams, leadership, and to customers for review and approval
Performing table-top reviews
Using SPC tools to ensure process control
Developing and incorporating process improvements
Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions
Supporting design, checkout, qualification, and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment
Must be able to work 4x10 (6:00 am to 4:30 pm, M-Th)

Required

B.S. degree in STEM (Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or other technical degrees may be considered), 1 year of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree
Position may be filled at a level requiring 1 to 0 years of engineering experience with Masters
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Interpreting blueprints and specifications
Strong interpersonal and Customer Service Skills
Process Controls (SPC)
