Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Executive Resources)

Responsibilities
Serves as the technical advisor responsible for overseeing Senior Executive Service (SES) program
Applies advanced HR pay principles, concepts, and practices in support of SES and Political appointment pay systems and authorities
Plans and carries out special projects and studies to identify and resolve problems related to HR SES program activities
Provide advice on work methods, practices, and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution
Qualification
Required
Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement
Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation
May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability: 1) Leading or managing the full range of staffing and recruitment services for an organization; 2) Providing guidance and advice to senior executive level officials on all aspects of the Senior Executive Service (SES) and political human resources programs; 3) Implementing Senior Executive Services (SES) staffing, recruitment, classification, performance management, and placement requests; 4) Applying a wide-range of recruitment/placement concepts, practices, laws, regulations, and policies; and 5) Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates
