InternKTI Logistics, LLC is seeking a Compliance Intern to support their Compliance Department in maintaining regulatory, contractual, and operational standards across the organization. This role provides hands-on exposure to freight brokerage compliance, carrier qualification, and internal audit processes while assisting with day-to-day compliance functions.

Responsibilities
Assist with onboarding and monitoring carrier files to ensure all required documentation is current and compliant (authority, insurance, W-9, contracts, etc.)
Verify insurance certificates and escalate discrepancies to the Compliance Manager
Maintain accurate and organized digital compliance records
Support compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and internal brokerage standards
Assist with audits and internal compliance reviews
Help track expirations, renewals, and required filings
Review incoming documents for completeness and accuracy
Update internal systems and compliance trackers
Assist with data entry, reporting, and compliance dashboards
Communicate professionally with internal teams (Operations, Accounting, Sales) regarding compliance requirements
Support carrier relations by ensuring documentation requests are handled promptly and professionally
Assist with special compliance projects as assigned
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company, carrier, and customer information
Follow all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow processes, checklists, and deadlines
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred
Interest in logistics, transportation, or regulatory compliance
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn compliance systems and internal tools
Prior office or administrative experience is a plus, but not required
