Data Software Engineer
Verrus is a developer of next generation, greenfield hyperscale data centers that leverage onsite energy infrastructure. The role involves building foundational data architecture systems that turn physical telemetry into actionable intelligence, collaborating on data ingestion systems, and developing data pipelines and model evaluation processes.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with our partners to design data ingestion systems that support thousands of physical assets (smart meters, thermal sensors, …) and meet customer needs
Build data pipelines that identify data anomalies (sensor drift, etc.) and feed our optimization algorithms
Develop processes to evaluate model quality and enable safe deployment of new models
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of experience as a full-time data software engineer or equivalent role with significant contributions to distributed, high-volume data systems
Preferred
Experience in data ingestion systems that support thousands of physical assets (smart meters, thermal sensors, etc.)
Experience building data pipelines that identify data anomalies (sensor drift, etc.)
Experience developing processes to evaluate model quality and enable safe deployment of new models
Familiarity with modern open source technologies
Proficiency in Python for modeling and data analytics
Experience with Go/Rust for performance critical systems
Experience with automation to enhance productivity
