The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving revenue targets, fostering client relationships, and developing new business with architects, designers, contractors, and developers in New York and the North East of the USA.

Responsibilities

Manage incoming sales leads and conduct showroom visits at the Los Angeles location as needed
Process and track customer sample requests through the online Shop, ensuring quality and timely delivery
Prepare customer estimates using accounting software and manage all leads in Capsule CRM
Address client concerns and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Build, manage, and grow relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and developers, while developing new opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer needs and enhance the overall experience
Identify new sales prospects and analyze market trends to capitalize on opportunities
Develop and implement sales strategies, evaluate their effectiveness, and adjust as needed
Assist in strategic sales planning to meet company goals
Conduct regular sales meetings to review performance, set goals, and provide guidance
Support Business Development and Marketing teams with Lunch/Wine & Learn events and showroom marketing initiatives
Prepare sales forecasts and reports for senior management
Analyze sales data to identify improvement areas and provide recommendations to optimize performance

Required

Bachelor's Degree in business, architecture, or design with at least five years of professional work experience in product sales or business development within the hardwood flooring industry or, more broadly, within the architecture and design worlds
Highly motivated and target driven
Ability to close sales and reach sales and profit targets
Tech and computer savvy – previous experience working with CRM software such as SalesForce or Capsule and Accounting software such as QuickBooks Online preferred
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail are a must
Flexible, self-motivated, and collaborative team player
Able to communicate effectively with team members and clients
Ability to travel to job sites and architectural offices to generate new business

Preferred

Knowledge and understanding of wood, timber industry and wood craftsmanship a plus
Interior/industrial design or architecture experience is a plus
