Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure systems and components
Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT services
Proactively monitor system performance, apply security patches, and perform routine updates to ensure optimal system functionality
Identify and resolve system problems to minimize downtime while escalating support for more complex issues
Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's data and systems
Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures
Collaborate with other IT staff to plan and implement system upgrades and improvements
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users
Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Configure, and manage desktop, mobile, and laptop devices
Provide support to helpdesk
Other job duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as an IT System Administrator
Strong knowledge of desktop and server operating systems
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
Proficient supporting enterprise systems/platforms such as Microsoft 365 (O365), Sharepoint, Box, Mimecast, Sophos, Veeam, AWS, Azure
Familiarity with enterprise networking components and services, including firewalls, switches, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
1-2 years of experience working as a System Administrator
Technical competence supporting business software applications
Strong analytical skills
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently, solve IT problems with minimal supervision, and function well in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well with end users
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
Preferred
Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Associate) are a plus
