Responsibilities

Performs first piece inspection on all machines in the commercial and residential product areas
Performs in-process inspections on a routine audit basis to assure that parts are being machined properly, that components are correctly assembled, and that the completed products are properly tested to established testing procedures
Performs finished product inspections to assure that the product conforms to specifications in terms of painting, packaging and markings
Remains familiar with the product lines in terms of operation and function, material requirements, machining requirements, assembly operations, testing procedures, and calibration procedures
Uses gauges, tools, manufacturing process sheet (MPS) methods and test equipment required to properly inspect or verify conformance of parts or products to drawing specifications
Uses quality assurance principles such as statistical sampling, frequency distribution and control charts. Uses knowledge of SPC and geometric tolerancing
Retrieves and inputs data into quality management system (ETQ) or spreadsheets and maintains organized files of all inspections and records
Observes all safety regulations and practices and complies with company policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in quality inspection
Experience using SPC methods and software
Ability to navigate multiple windows in company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to access production and technical resource data
Experience using Microsoft Office Excel (other Office programs a plus)

Preferred

Associate degree in Industrial Technology or related field
American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Auditor
