Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in the workplace
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards
Perform risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
Lead incident investigations and develop reports outlining findings
Facilitate safety training sessions for employees and managers
Monitor the implementation of safety initiatives and programs
Provide guidance and advice on technical and process safety issues
Ensure emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place
Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions

Required

Bachelor's degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Manufacturing Engineer experience
Graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineer experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineer experience

Preferred

Experience as a Process Safety Manager (PSM) or similar role in a related field
Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations
Experience with conducting safety audits and inspections
Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative measures
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. CSP, CIH)
Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field
