Responsibilities
Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure piece parts and products meet drawing requirements
Utilizing work instructions provided by manufacturing engineers to collect data
Completing first article inspections (FAIs)
Checking parts on a surface plate using manual approaches with measuring equipment
Operating CMM, optical comparator and vision systems to ensure compliance with programs provided
Qualification
Required
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Preferred
Ability to create CMM programs using CAMIO software
Attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Intermediate to expert understanding of GD&T
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and the like
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of operating and/or programming a CMM and vision systems
Experience in dimensional inspection and quality control
Experience as, or working closely with machinists to ensure parts are made to print
Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and materials
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Strong problem-solving and ability to create manual approaches to measuring
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
