Responsibilities
Maintain the general ledger trial balance, review invoices, and ensure transactions are properly recorded in a timely manner for a portfolio of residential properties
Oversight of transactions recorded to accounts receivable and accounts payable for a portfolio of residential properties
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and financial reporting, including applicable tax and audit requirements for a portfolio of residential properties
Determine, document, implement, and ensure ongoing compliance with all residential accounting procedures
Collaborate with on-site property management teams to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
Assist in creating and updating annual operating budgets for a portfolio of residential properties
Utilize technology in a forward-thinking manner to drive business efficiencies and improved performance
Qualification
Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Detail oriented
Self-motivated
Strong customer service skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties simultaneously
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
1-3 years accounting experience
Preferred
Experience with Yardi or other property management software
Property accounting experience
