Responsibilities
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process; ensure timely and accurate financial statements
Manage general ledger, revenue recognition, accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany accounting
Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation appropriate for a scaled, investor-backed company
Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting consultants
Oversee AP/AR processes, cash management, and balance sheet reconciliations
Produce management and board-level reporting packages, including variance analysis vs. budget and forecast
Own the mechanics of the operating model: budget builds, rolling forecasts, and scenario analyses
Maintain and improve financial models used for planning, headcount, revenue forecasting, and cost management
Partner with department heads to track spend, headcount, and performance against plan
Ensure financial data integrity across systems (ERP, billing, payroll, banking, etc.)
Own and continuously improve financial systems and workflows to support growth
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting and close processes
Support future fundraising, diligence, and strategic transactions by ensuring clean, defensible financials
Help evolve the finance function from scrappy to institutional-grade without over-engineering
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in accounting and/or controllership roles at venture or PE-backed companies
Strong grounding in GAAP accounting; CPA preferred
Demonstrated ownership of monthly close and financial reporting at scale
Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills; comfort operating inside complex operating models
Experience partnering closely with FP&A, strategic finance, or executive leadership
Highly detail-oriented with strong judgment and the ability to prioritize in fast-moving environments
