Responsibilities
Litigate Employment Disputes – Defend public entities in federal and state courts, drafting briefs for cases involving Title VII and NYSHRL wage and discrimination claims
Advise on Labor Law – Counsel school districts on labor law compliance, ensuring adherence to employment regulations and minimizing risks
Research Precedents – Conduct in-depth research on employment law precedents, supporting appellate wins for municipalities
Build Client Relationships – Strengthen ties with school district clients, expanding the firm’s presence through trusted counsel
Contribute to Publications – Leverage your writing skills to publish in legal journals, enhancing the firm’s thought leadership in education law
Qualification
Required
Education & Municipal Law Attorney
Experience litigating employment disputes in federal and state courts
Ability to draft briefs for cases involving Title VII and NYSHRL wage and discrimination claims
Knowledge of labor law compliance and employment regulations
Experience conducting in-depth research on employment law precedents
Strong writing skills for publishing in legal journals
Ability to build and strengthen client relationships with school districts
