Part-Time Program Leader
Dunwoody Nature Center is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Environmental Educators with a passion for nature and education. This role is primarily focused on leading school field trips, with opportunities to also support nature classes, night hikes, and seasonal camps.

Responsibilities
Lead engaging and hands-on environmental education field trips for school groups
Facilitate additional programming such as: Nature Classes, Night Hikes, Scout programs, and Camps
Utilize the resources of the Nature Center to deliver high-quality educational experiences that align with pre-determined learning outcomes
Prepare for and deliver programs with professionalism and enthusiasm
Model respect for others, wildlife, and the natural environment
Create a safe, inclusive, and fun learning space by using positive behavior management techniques
Manage classroom or group dynamics effectively during programs
Assess student engagement and comprehension; offer constructive feedback to improve programs
Work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced outdoor environment
Qualification
Required
A college degree (or equivalent experience) in Education, Environmental Studies, Biology, or a related field
Experience working with children in educational or camp settings
Demonstrated skills in classroom or group management
Strong communication skills and a passion for environmental education
Ability to lead hikes and lift equipment/materials up to 20 lbs
Availability during weekday mornings for school field trips (most in-demand time)
Ability to provide two or more references related to working with children
