Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
Circulate during Labor & Delivery and Cesarean section procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile technique
Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, NICU staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Assist with neonatal stabilization and transition, with a strong focus on NICU-related care and protocols
Monitor fetal heart tracings, maternal vital signs, and labor progression; intervene appropriately as clinical conditions change
Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after delivery, providing education and emotional support
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Recent Labor & Delivery experience required
NICU experience required (heavy NICU focus)
Circulating experience required
Current ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications required
Preferred
Experience scrubbing in for Cesarean sections
Pediatrics and/or additional NICU experience
Prior experience in high-acuity or high-volume Labor & Delivery units
