Empire Abrasive Equipment Co. is seeking a Help Desk IT Technician to provide first and second level technical support. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer systems, and assisting with user account management.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Provide first-level support for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues
Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone requests in a timely manner
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications
Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system
Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT staff or vendors
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees (equipment setup and access)
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies
Interact with all internal departments to support technology needs

Required

Strong verbal and written communication skills
An understanding of Windows 10/11 and/or macOS operating systems
Familiarity with common office software (Microsoft Office365, email, collaboration tools)
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and problem-solve independently
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of company personnel
Willingness to learn new technologies and accept additional duties as needed

Preferred

Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred
Prior help desk or technical support experience
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and basic cybersecurity concepts
Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
Basic understanding of relational databases
