Director, Business Control & Risk Management-Metrics and Reporting

Responsibilities
Overseeing the Metrics and Reporting Center of Excellence
Lead the Business Control Metrics and Reporting team
The oversight and governance of business execution against the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
Evaluation and improvement of the control environment
Supports and leads the risk evaluation of the various business components
Continuously evaluates the industry, market and regulatory environment
Lead governance routines to report and escalate as necessary to executive management
Driving a cultural awareness of risk management practices
Manage the Key Risk Indicator (KRI) and Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) Programs for the FLoD
Preparing aggregated Executive and Management level reporting of enterprise Business Control metrics
Coordinating with Second Line of Defense (SLoD) teams for preparation of Committee level reporting
Collaborating with Business Control Officers (BCOs) to establish and implement Control Performance Indicators (CPIs)
Maintain metric inventory in HERACLES and any other required systems/tools
Oversight of FLoD adherence to Santander US Standards governing KRI, CPI, and RAS programs
Facilitate discussions on behalf of the FLoD with key stakeholders
Manage a team at varying levels aligned to support the KRI, CPI, and RAS programs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or equivalent field
5+ years Risk Management, Internal Controls, Auditing, Credit Management, relevant line of business experience and/or legal or regulatory experience
Demonstrated experience supporting and/or leading risk projects across multiple business lines offering a wide variety of financial services products and services
Foundational understanding of the regulatory environment and how the products/services Santander Consumer engages in are viewed by the Second Line of Defense and Regulators
Ability to constructively work both independently and in collaborative environments involving all levels of management and employees
Ability to collaborate with internal and external service providers to establish resource requirements, scheduling, assignments and service levels
Ability to build internal and external networks of information resources within the risk management ecosystem
Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
Preferred
Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education
Experience in Microsoft Office products
