Responsibilities
Lead mechanical engineering initiatives in designated plant areas
Manage and execute capital projects, including equipment installations and upgrades (ranging from $50K to $5M)
Provide day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance teams
Ensure projects meet all safety standards, technical specs, and budget requirements
Support mechanical system development from design through commissioning and startup
Use Autodesk tools (AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, Vault) for drawing and project documentation
Partner with external vendors and oversee contractor installations
Conduct risk assessments and implement equipment safety measures
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and conveying systems
Proficiency in 3D modeling (SolidWorks or Inventor)
Hands-on experience in cross-functional team settings
Preferred
Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor
Machine design background
Familiarity with thermal systems and energy transfer
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Independent, proactive, and highly motivated
