Underwrite loans in compliance with FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and bond program requirements
Review loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Serve as a resource for loan officers, processors, and closers
Provide training and mentorship to underwriting staff
Manage pipeline to meet production goals while ensuring quality standards
Qualification
Required
10+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
High school diploma required; degree preferred
Strong knowledge of investor guidelines and underwriting systems (DU, LP, GUS)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
