Project Manager – Cloud & Data Migration

Responsibilities
Lead technical projects from initiation through implementation, including RFP development, vendor selection, proof of concept, requirements gathering, design, development/configuration, testing, integration, data conversion, user acceptance, go-live, and project close
Manage projects across diverse technology domains such as enterprise applications, infrastructure upgrades, data platforms, digital transformation initiatives, and IT support operations
Coordinate and oversee shared resources across multiple projects, ensuring effective allocation and prioritization
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, manage resources, monitor budgets, and resolve project issues
Monitor project progress, assess risks, manage dependencies, and implement contingency plans
Support continuous improvement of project management methodologies and tools
Ensure alignment of team members with business requirements, technical design documents, and process documentation
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure solutions meet operational and strategic needs
Maintain a strong understanding of both business and technical issues to deliver high-quality outcomes
Build and lead high-performing teams by leveraging individual strengths and organizational processes
Coordinate with IT, operations, vendors, and compliance stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
Foster strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment across departments
Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to leadership
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
Present complex project information in clear and actionable terms
Communicate effectively with staff, management, and executives
Manage shifting priorities in fast-paced, dynamic environments
Make well-informed decisions under pressure, balancing strategic goals with operational realities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
6–8+ years of experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary IT projects
Proven success leading project teams using both internal and external resources
Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Proficient in Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Advanced skills with MS Project, Azure DevOps (TFS), Microsoft Office Suite, and Visio
Hands-on experience leading on-premise to cloud data migration projects
Familiarity with AWS and enterprise cloud adoption
Understanding of AWS cloud data, DevOps, FinOps, and MLOps
Knowledge of managed databases, SaaS data tools (e.g., Snowflake), and vendor applications
Experience with data replication, streaming, and analytics pipelines
Familiarity with time-series data and structured/unstructured data formats
Understanding of self-service analytics models
Proficiency in Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices
Experience managing cloud migration roadmaps
Ability to align cloud capabilities with compliance, financial, and operational goals
Knowledge of cloud security protocols and risk mitigation strategies
Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
