Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
Prepare and present timely, accurate financial reports to the Board of Trustees and senior leadership
Lead the budgeting process, monitor performance against budget, and provide recommendations on variances
Maintain compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, and other regulatory financial requirements
Oversee employee benefit plans, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with organizational goals
Manage relationships with auditors, bankers, attorneys, and other external partners
Ensure sound internal controls, ethical accounting practices, and effective contract negotiations
Supervise accounting staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum five years of related experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
CPA REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit regulations, Medicaid, and third-party payment sources
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations (EEO, DOL, FLSA, Workers' Compensation)
Proficient in Excel, Access, and accounting software
Collaborative leader with strong communication and analytical skills
