Nesco Resource is a staffing agency seeking a Quality Assurance Tech to ensure the quality and safety of perishable inventory. The role involves inspecting inbound loads, maintaining product levels, and communicating with management on perishable-related issues.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify Purchase Order quantities for all inbound perishable loads

Inspect inbound trucks for signs of pests or rodents prior to unloading

Record temperatures for all inbound loads and report any violations to the Warehouse Manager and Buyers

Ensure proper rotation of all produce inventory and other perishable items

Maintain appropriate product levels in all assigned pick slots

Perform daily quality inspections on all perishable items

Conduct daily date checks and remove all outdated products from pick and reserve slots

Complete daily dump and damage reports and submit them to the Warehouse Supervisor or Inventory Control

Communicate daily with Buyers and the Warehouse Manager on all perishable-related issues; may provide recommendations for dumping, damage, or repackaging

Process produce returns and determine whether items should be returned to inventory, donated, or discarded

Receive calls from Territory Managers and assist with troubleshooting as needed
