Automotive Shop & Upfit Associate
Anew Transport is seeking a dependable and motivated Automotive Shop & Upfit Associate to support daily operations in their vehicle shop. The role involves assisting with aftermarket installations, maintaining shop cleanliness, and performing light vehicle detailing, all while ensuring smooth operational flow in the shop.

Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including sweeping bays, clearing debris, disposing of packaging and scrap, and resetting spaces between jobs
Assist technicians by staging vehicles, prepping workspaces, and providing labor support (moving, lifting, positioning parts, etc.)
Run parts, tools, or other items as needed to support shop management and technicians throughout the day
Perform light vehicle detailing, including interior and exterior cleaning, vacuuming, and surface preparation
Maintain and organize detailing carts and shop supplies
Support shop cleanliness beyond personal work areas—this includes cleaning up after others when needed and taking initiative to keep the entire space operational
Work comfortably in all weather conditions, including high temperatures during summer months, while performing both indoor and outdoor duties
Install bolt-on accessories including brush guards, ladder racks, toolboxes, auxiliary lighting, and running boards
Follow manufacturer installation diagrams and instructions with precision
Assist with basic wiring and mechanical prep under supervision
Operate common hand tools, basic shop equipment, and follow safety procedures at all times
Qualification
Required
Valid driver's license with clean driving record; must be able to safely move vehicles around the property
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor throughout the day
Comfortable working outdoors in varying and uncomfortable temperatures
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
A positive team player who takes pride in grunt work and sees value in every task, no matter how small
Mechanically inclined, with a basic understanding of tools and vehicle systems
Able to follow instructions, read diagrams, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in a shop, detailing, or automotive service environment
Prior exposure to aftermarket installations or mechanical work
Interest in long-term growth within upfitting, vehicle customization, or shop management
