Responsibilities
Audit Leadership: Oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards
Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all accounting policies and regulatory requirements under US GAAP and IFRS
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure high performance and accountability
AP, AR & GL Oversight: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities for accuracy and efficiency
Month-End & Quarter-End Close: Lead and coordinate the close process, including review of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts
Balance Sheet Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
Budgeting & Forecasting: Support financial planning, forecasting, and provide insights and analytics for decision-making
Process Improvement: Streamline AP and AR processes and identify opportunities for accounting process enhancements to increase efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
6–7+ years of progressive accounting or finance management experience, preferably in hospitality or a related industry
Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Bilingual - English & Spanish required
Proficiency in Excel; ability to adapt quickly to new ERP systems
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
