Responsibilities
Own and complete balance sheet reconciliations across key accounts (cash, accruals, prepaid, intercompany, AP/AR clearing, fixed assets, inventory/COGS as applicable)
Identify and resolve discrepancies through strong investigation skills, root-cause analysis, and clear documentation
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy, proper support, and correct classification
Support month-end close by managing schedules, tie-outs, rollforwards, and variance explanations
Partner with AP/AR, Treasury, and business stakeholders to clear aged items and validate transactional activity
Maintain clean workpapers and reconciliation support that are organized, review-friendly, and audit-ready
Improve efficiency by implementing reconciliation templates, trackers, and repeatable close routines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (Senior Accountant level or equivalent)
Proven track record owning high-volume reconciliations and driving accuracy under deadlines
Strong GAAP foundation with an understanding of internal controls and financial discipline
Advanced Excel proficiency (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data cleanup, reconciliation logic)
ERP experience required (any major system is fine)
Self-starter mindset with the ability to prioritize, execute, and communicate clearly
Preferred
CPA is a plus
