The U.S. Cost Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cost accounting activities, ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and compliance with U.S. GAAP while supervising a team and collaborating with various departments to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

Oversee standard costing, product cost development, and cost roll-ups for several manufacturing and distribution sites in the U.S

Partner with operations, engineering, FP&A, and supply chain to track costs of new products from ideation to market commercialization

Lead month-end close activities related to cost of goods sold and inventory

Review and prepare inventory reports including stock reconciliation, excess and obsolete inventory, inventory roll forwards, etc

Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies

Prepare and review cost-related financial reports for management decision-making

Support financial audits and legislative requirements related to manufacturing costing

Supervise and develop cost accounting & inventory control staff and review work for accuracy and timeliness

Lead cost accounting and inventory control function migration from AS400 to Infor M3 Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning

Drive continuous improvement in costing methods, systems, and manufacturing processes
