Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities
Driving improvements at BASF sites in the region, leading assessments, providing implementation consultations, training/coaching, rolling out program improvements, and offering follow-up support for optimization and sustainability
Partnering with Regional Service Center project teams by providing input on capital project scope and equipment to achieve increased reliability from capital investments
Leading and driving the optimization of reliability strategies, tools, and work processes to improve business performance by minimizing production losses and optimizing costs. This includes identifying and prioritizing high-level opportunities across BASF Corporation sites and implementing agreed solutions and improvements
Collaborating with various functions of BASF Engineering and Maintenance globally to align on work processes, procedures, methodologies and best practices
Interfacing closely with regional and global colleagues to continuously improve reliability tools and processes and develop, maintain, and deliver reliability process training materials to sites in the region
Qualification
Required
Hold a bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (preferably Mechanical)
Have 8+ years of experience in reliability and equipment expertise within a manufacturing environment
Are capable of making critical business decisions and recommendations
Possess prior experience in successfully leading and managing capital projects
Demonstrate ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members from diverse cultural backgrounds
