Procurement Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities

Supporting day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks for manager, department, or team
Developing and maintaining customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders
Ensuring appropriate document control and compliance through filing, composing, and editing documents and reports for warehouse
Gather vendor quotes and perform pricing comparisons and analysis in accordance with PCL procurement policies
Create, issue, and manage purchase orders
Receive goods and complete all required receiving documentation
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve invoice discrepancies
Complete overage and shortage documentation for received orders
Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements

Required

High school diploma
1 year of experience in an administrative role or equivalent technical experience
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to multitask and adapt to change
Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information
Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure
Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations
Ability to analyze pricing and vendor information
Basic skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote
Proficiency with purchasing systems and basic accounting processes

Preferred

Associates or bachelor's degree, diploma or certificate in office administration program considered an asset
