Responsibilities
Design and oversee mechanical systems for commercial building projects (HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems)
Prepare engineering calculations, construction documents, and technical specifications
Collaborate closely with architects, other engineering disciplines, and construction professionals
Conduct site visits, review construction progress, and resolve field issues
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
Lead and mentor junior engineers and project staff
Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in commercial construction
Experience working on projects in K–12, government, or healthcare sectors
Strong understanding of local and national building codes and ASHRAE standards
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering calculation tools
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
LEED accreditation is desirable
