Responsibilities

Define end-to-end OMS architecture using:
IBM Sterling OMS (Container version)
Sterling Intelligent Promising
Sterling Order Hub & Business Center
Spring Boot–based microservices
Design integration strategies with ERP, WMS, CRM, Planning, and eCommerce platforms
Ensure architecture supports:
Promotions and pricing
Inventory visibility
Estimated Delivery Date (EDD)
Order fulfillment, orchestration, and returns
Lead technical and architecture workshops; guide teams through design decisions
Own Solution Design documents and drive architecture reviews and sign-offs
Establish best practices for OMS development, configuration, and deployment
Provide governance on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
Track IBM Sterling product roadmap and manage upgrades
Lead and anchor the solution implementation lifecycle:
Detailed design
Development
Testing & UAT
Production release
Post-production and warranty support
Define and validate observability and monitoring requirements
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align solutions with strategic goals
Present solution options, fit-gap analysis, and roadmaps to senior leadership
Ensure scalability, performance, security, and reliability
Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies

Required

12–15 years of overall IT experience
5–10 years of hands-on OMS architecture experience
2+ end-to-end IBM Sterling OMS implementations for large retail organizations
Strong background in retail commerce and omnichannel order management
Define end-to-end OMS architecture using: IBM Sterling OMS (Container version), Sterling Intelligent Promising, Sterling Order Hub & Business Center, Spring Boot–based microservices
Design integration strategies with ERP, WMS, CRM, Planning, and eCommerce platforms
Ensure architecture supports: Promotions and pricing, Inventory visibility, Estimated Delivery Date (EDD), Order fulfillment, orchestration, and returns
Lead technical and architecture workshops; guide teams through design decisions

Payments and reverse logistics
Enterprise integrations with ERP, WMS, and CRM systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Proven leadership managing teams of 10–30 members
Experience working in Agile delivery environments (JIRA, Confluence)

Preferred

Certifications: IBM Sterling, Azure Certified Solutions Architect
Experience with low-code / no-code platforms
Exposure to global OMS transformation programs
