Sales Account Executive

OEC Group, a leading freight forwarder established in 1981, is seeking a Sales Account Executive focused on air freight sales. The role involves driving business growth through cold calling, building and maintaining client relationships, and consulting on logistics solutions to optimize supply chains.

Responsibilities

Drive business growth: Generate new business through cold calling, on average 40 calls per day, targeting companies with urgent, time-sensitive, or high-value air freight needs
Build and maintain a customer base: Recognize freight forwarding opportunities and deliver tailored solutions with strong emphasis on air import/export services
Become a logistics expert: Partner with internal subject matter experts to master OEC Group's full suite of global shipping services
Offer customized solutions: Consult clients on optimizing their supply chain using air freight as well as ocean, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance and customs brokerage
Achieve & exceed goals: Hit monthly sales quotas and set new benchmarks for success
Leverage cutting-edge tools: Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client's information, manage your sales pipeline, and measure success using actionable KPIs
Collaborate for success: Work closely with our sales support team to ensure quotes align with each client's requirements
Be a trusted advisor: Conduct in-person meetings with existing and prospective clients in your designated territory, strengthening relationships and securing long-term business
Stay competitive: Keep a pulse on global freight forwarding trends, ensuring our strategies align with industry shifts and emerging opportunities
Work cross-culturally: Maintain open communication with departments and oversea offices to ensure seamless global logistics

Qualification

Sales experienceLogistics knowledgeAir freight expertiseOperations experienceMicrosoft Office

Required

Bachelor's degree
Sales or logistics experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Reliable transportation required to drive to client meetings

Preferred

Particular interest in air freight or experience selling time-critical transportation services is a plus
Operations experience within freight forwarding or air cargo handling is a strong plus
