Responsibilities
Lead the Design Team
Provide hands-on creative leadership to a talented team of designers, setting a high bar for innovation, craftsmanship, and execution. Inspire, direct, and manage the team through every phase of the design process—from concept to final product—while fostering a collaborative, high-performance studio culture
Work closely with the Creative Directors during early ideation to help shape, interpret, and translate their vision into compelling, cohesive collections. Serve as a key creative partner—bridging concept and execution—ensuring ideas are thoughtfully developed, elevated, and realized across all design deliverables
Own the full design lifecycle: concept development, mood boards, color and fabric stories, sketching, fittings, revisions, and final approvals. Ensure each collection reflects the Creative Directors’ intent while meeting design excellence, quality, and commercial viability
Establish, manage, and drive the seasonal design calendar, aligning closely with Creative Directors and cross-functional partners. Oversee key milestones including concept reviews, line plan sign-offs, fittings, and final deliveries, proactively resolving challenges to maintain momentum and creative integrity
Partner with Product Development, Marketing, and Production to ensure designs are executable, on-brand, and aligned with business objectives. Clearly communicate creative direction to ensure consistency from ideation through launch
Lead trend forecasting, competitive analysis, and cultural research, translating insights into innovative design concepts that support and evolve the Creative Directors’ vision while reinforcing the brand’s signature aesthetic
Mentor and develop designers at all levels, offering clear feedback, creative guidance, and growth opportunities. Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages creative risk-taking, accountability, and excellence
Remain deeply involved in the creative process—reviewing and refining sketches, participating in fittings, problem-solving design challenges, and ensuring final product excellence—while balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day design execution
Qualification
Required
10+ years in a design leadership role, ideally in high-end, contemporary, or luxury womenswear
A sharp, forward-thinking eye for design that is both innovative and commercial
Proven ability to lead a team, manage multiple projects, and inspire creativity in others
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketching, and Draping
Strong Portfolio: A portfolio that reflects a deep understanding of both aesthetics and market demand
Exceptional ability to communicate design concepts clearly to internal teams, partners, and manufacturers
Preferred
Knowledge of 3D design tools is a plus
