Responsibilities
Develop new model introduction strategies, including process improvement plans, plant layouts, capacity analysis, and project justifications
Conduct simultaneous engineering with styling, body design, logistics, manufacturing, and suppliers to optimize new model designs
Lead process development: design, machine specification, equipment procurement, installation, safety risk assessments, production trials, and handover to manufacturing
Support manufacturing innovation in automation, electrification, digital engineering, new materials, joining, quality inspection, and logistics
Ensure body parts, subassemblies, and finished vehicles meet quality standards for weld integrity, dimensional compliance, and surface quality
Travel domestically and internationally for onsite investigations, modifications, and milestone meetings
Work independently and in teams to support project activities and milestones
Interact with suppliers, engineering teams, program managers, finance, and operations to resolve issues and provide status updates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent 6 years of experience)
2–5 years of relevant automotive engineering experience
Experience with 3D CAD (Catia or Delmia)
Experience with production/manufacturing/body weld/BIW/product planning
Travel required - Domestic and international travel
relevant automotive engineering : 2 years (Required)
3D CAD (Catia or Delmia): 1 year (Required)
production/manufacturing/body weld/BIW/product planning: 1 year (Required)
Preferred
Automation experience (tooling, jig design, equipment procurement, installation)
Design for Manufacturing / Simultaneous Engineering experience
Internal logistics experience including route planning, simulations, and packaging
Quality process setup (containment, repeatability, nondestructive inspection)
Project management experience including scheduling, budgeting, coordination, problem-solving
