Hardware and Video System Administrator - TS/SCI with Poly

Responsibilities
Ensures the availability of mission critical launch communications systems through proactive hardware maintenance
Performs incident and problem management to resolve or escalate issues in order to restore service
Performs request fulfillment activities including account management and configuration changes
Coordinates with other maintenance, operations and engineering contracts as required
Documents all work performed via ticketing system
Creates, updates or enhances maintenance and operations documentation
Performs daily system checks for alerts or degradation of service or system
Provides call-in support as required
Responsible for configuration management of launch communications systems in support of launch projects
Identifies configuration items, implements change control, and conducts configuration audits
Creates and manages configuration and engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness such as facility maps, site floor plans, rack elevations, patch panel, equipment shelf layouts, and system overviews
Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into a launch system and launch related IT hardware assets
Ensures that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards
Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures
Ensures CM functions are adhered to: version control of configuration items such as documents, as well as the configuration management of hardware and software configuration management items
Recommends change management and configuration management solutions that effectively meet customer needs
Qualification
Required
US Citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
A bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Launch or mission operations experience
Experience supporting configuration management, change management and service transition
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively and constructively as part of a team
Must be willing to perform call-in support as required
Preferred
Strong Analytical skills
SharePoint, NETS, ServiceNow
ITIL Foundations certification
Current DoD 8570 certification applicable to the position (typically Security+)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)
