Cyber Security Operations Analyst
National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board providing support and advice to improve health and well-being across Scotland. The Cyber Security Operations Analyst will join the Cyber Security Operation Team to develop and operate national security services, focusing on detecting and responding to security threats using various tools and technologies.

Responsibilities
Detect, triage, and respond to security threats using a variety of tools
Utilize Security Information Event Management (SIEM) systems
Manage vulnerability management and scanning tools
Engage with threat intelligence sharing platforms
Work with Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Defender XDR, and security dashboards
Gain experience of incident handling and security tooling deployment/management
Communicate with key stakeholders within NHS Scotland and externally such as Local Authorities, Scottish Government, NHS partners across the UK and NCSC
Qualification
Required
Educated to degree level or have demonstrable academic achievements in the field of information and cyber security with evidence of continuing professional development
The successful candidate will be required to undergo Disclosure Scotland check
Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS
