Responsibilities
Produce advanced CAD drawings for land development and land use projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Develop and maintain CAD standards, templates, and best practices
Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and ensure high-quality deliverables
Plan and manage CAD workloads and priorities across active projects
Supervise, mentor, and train junior CAD staff; identify skill gaps and training needs
Take ownership of complex design work currently outsourced and bring it in-house
Coordinate with engineering leadership to align CAD output with project requirements
Maintain high billable utilization through consistent production and delivery
Qualification
Required
6+ years of land development CAD design experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong experience with roadway, subdivision, and site grading design
Prior experience mentoring or training CAD drafters
New Jersey land development experience
Fluent in English (C1/C2 level)
Ability to commute to the office within approximately 30–60 minutes
Preferred
Experience building and enforcing CAD standards across a team
Interest in new CAD technologies and evolving industry trends
