CNL Law Firm is a boutique family law firm in Colorado that values ethics, empathy, and collaboration. They are seeking an experienced Paralegal to provide direct support to attorneys in family law cases, manage case files, conduct legal research, and ensure timely filings.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, custody, and post-decree matters
Draft, edit, and file pleadings, motions, financial disclosures, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents
Organize, manage, and maintain case files ensuring they are up to date and accurately reflect the case status
Conduct legal research, summarize findings, and assist in preparing cases for hearings, mediations, and trials
Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Track deadlines and court dates to ensure timely filings and attorney preparedness
Assist with client intake, calendaring, and administrative support related to case management
Collaborate closely with attorneys and other team members to deliver a high level of client service
Anticipate attorney and case needs — stay a step ahead and contribute to strategic case planning
Other duties as assigned

Required

3+ years of paralegal experience are required (ideally in Colorado family law)
Strong working knowledge of Colorado court rules and procedures
Proficiency with legal document drafting and case management software
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of discretion, attention to detail, and emotional intelligence
A proactive mindset and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with platforms such as Lexis-Nexis, Microsoft Office Suite, and legal billing software
A genuine interest in family law and the people it impacts
