Responsibilities
Managing and overseeing the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting staff; ensuring proper workload distribution and performance management
Leading and coordinating annual audit with outside auditing firm. Implement new GAAP technical development when applicable
Collaborating with our FP&A team and other departments to provide accurate financial data for planning and forecasting
Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency through automation or policy changes
Working closely with operations, finance, and executive teams to provide financial insight for strategic decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA required
8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of GAAP, including familiarity with ASC 842 and ASC 606
Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering growth and development
Preferred
Master's or MBA preferred
Experience in medium or large-sized companies preferred
Prior public accounting firm experience strongly preferred
Experience in acquisition accounting preferred
Experience with Cognos, Tableau, or Alteryx a plus
