Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and maintain a React-based UI component library used across multiple products and web properties
Design scalable component APIs compatible with Next.js, Gatsby, and Astro ecosystems
Establish and enforce design system patterns, coding standards, and best practices
Create clear documentation, usage guidelines, and examples for product engineering teams
Build and maintain Storybook with interactive documentation and component playgrounds
Implement automated testing strategies: unit, integration, and visual regression
Drive semantic versioning, release processes, and library adoption standards
Build developer tooling (e.g., scripts/CLI utilities) to streamline onboarding and usage
Build flexible, content-driven components integrated with Contentful CMS
Partner with content stakeholders to define component schemas and content modeling strategies
Enable dynamic page composition and scalable content workflows across applications
Qualification
Required
6+ years of full stack engineering experience, with deep expertise in the React ecosystem
Expert-level JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Proven experience building and maintaining component libraries/design systems
Strong knowledge of React patterns: hooks, context, performance optimization
Hands-on experience with Next.js SSR/SSG and modern build tools (Webpack/Vite/etc.)
Strong API experience with REST and/or GraphQL
Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
Solid experience with AWS services such as CloudFront, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch
Familiarity with modern AWS security/access patterns such as OAC (Origin Access Control)
Experience with modern testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright
Ability to balance speed with quality: accessibility, performance, reliability
Proficient with modern GenAI developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, IDE assistants, and chat-based agents to accelerate development, debugging, testing, and documentation
Preferred
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (nice to have): AWS CDK
