Responsibilities
Provides technical support (hardware and software) to the university for all Dining Services point of sale equipment (Infor) and assorted peripherals. Issues may be reported via the Zoho Help Desk system, emails, and/or phone calls and are acted upon and resolved accordingly
Diagnosis hardware and networking issues, and replaces equipment around campus (dining halls, retail locations, concession stands) as needed
Provides hardware support for Grubhub's mobile food ordering system, as well as Starship's autonomous delivery food robots. Support for Dining Services may be required at events where Onecard is accepted for dining purchases
Acts as a liaison between Auxiliary Services and OTS
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED and two years experience with the types of hardware and software to be supported, one year of which included user support, user training, and/or programming
Thorough knowledge of point of sale registers, tablets, workstations, laptops, printers, computer peripherals, and specific software used within Auxiliary Services
Ability to analyze and solve problems that arise daily
Ability to make decisions that better the university
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all types of users; to work effectively with clients and other IT professionals; to provide guidance and instruction to users
