Research Technician I
The University of Arizona is seeking a Research Technician I for the Melandri Lab at the School of Plant Sciences in Tucson. This role involves managing laboratory operations and conducting biochemical experiments to support research on crop stress tolerance.

Responsibilities
Prepare clean sterilize and maintain lab samples and stocks
Operate and maintain lab equipment
Under the supervision of Dr. Melandri, conduct and optimize biochemical assays on plant tissue samples
Contribute to the organization and stock monitoring of laboratory supplies
Support field activities (planting, sampling, harvest)
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required
Ability to learn and operate complex lab equipment
Knowledge on how to prepare basic chemical solution (e.g., calculate molarity and dilutions)
Ability to work in an agricultural field hot environment
Strong organizational skills, prioritization skills, time management skills, and attention to details
Prior work experience not required
Preferred
Bachelor of Science with demonstrated laboratory experience
Preferred if BS in Biochemistry
