TransCargo Solutions is a specialized third-party logistics (3PL) company dedicated to supporting the construction of renewable energy projects through transportation and supply chain solutions. The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and month-end support.

Responsibilities

Process Accounts Payable: carrier and vendor invoices, approvals, coding, and postings

Support Accounts Receivable: client invoicing, payment applications, and follow-ups

Perform bank and balance-sheet reconciliations

Assist with month-end close activities (accruals, prepaid expenses, deferrals), with the expectation that over time the role will be able to perform these activities independently under close supervision and mentoring

Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP

Gain understanding of carrier payments, terminal fees, accessorial charges, and load-level costs

Support reconciliations between the Transportation Management System (TMS) and the accounting system

Assist in resolving billing discrepancies between operations, AP, and AR

Support the preparation of monthly operational forecasts, including volume and cost drivers

Assist in analyzing variances between forecasts and actual results

Maintain proper documentation and audit trails

Identify errors, inconsistencies, or process gaps

Support accounting clean-up, standardization, and process improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or final-year student)

1–2 years of accounting experience, including: Internship experience, OR Junior accountant role, OR Accounting outsourcing environment with exposure to multiple clients and accounting scenarios

Experience booking journal entries and performing basic reconciliations

Solid understanding of core accounting principles

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfortable working with Excel (filters, formulas, reconciliations)
